New Teacher, New Class

We have a new class and a new teacher on our Yoga Above Northampton calendar!  Blake will be taking CG's old time slot.  His "Owning the Pose" class will happen on Wednesdays from 5:30-6:45pm starting March 5th.

Blake has been practicing hatha yoga for ten of his twenty-seven years, and received his 200-hr certification from Kripalu School of Yoga in November 2013.  As a teacher he strives to skillfully embody and apply the tools and techniques of yoga to encourage students to explore their own indwelling power with playfulness, curiosity and wonder.  He incorporates the Kripalu teaching methodology of creating a safe and supportive environment, empowering students to be in conversation with their bodies throughout practice, using BRFWA (Breathe, Relax, Feel, Watch, Allow) to continually re-enter the present moment, and exploring the five koshas, or sheaths, of human being.  His goal is to kick-start a process of self-exploration in each individual student, to help them develop a personal relationship with practice, and support them throughout their unique journey of transformation.

2 More Classes with CG

We are sad to announce that Wednesday night class with CG will be coming to an end.  She will be teaching this week (2/19) and next (2/26) so be sure to drop in to her class to say goodbye!

We have loved having CG teach at Yoga Above Northampton this past year and have been inspired by her musical take on a flowing yoga class.

We wish her good luck finishing grad school!

A Farewell to Grace

A message from our friend and teacher Grace:

Hello YAN friends, I wanted to let you know that I will no longer be on the YAN schedule for Tuesday night's at 7:15. It has been a wonderful year teaching for YAN and meeting so many great people. A lot of amazing changes have happened in my life and I will be moving back to Florida soon. I do regret not being able to say my farewells in person, but hope to maybe bump into you around town. I also hope that you stick with your practice. I know that it was making a positive difference in your lives. Be well! Breathe deep! And Flow! Lots of love to all you <3
